About the Author
Thich Nhat Hanh (1926–2022) was a Vietnamese Zen master, poet, peace activist, and spiritual leader widely known for introducing mindfulness and engaged Buddhism to the West. He authored over 100 books on meditation, peace, and compassion, including The Miracle of Mindfulness and You Are Here. Exiled from Vietnam for decades due to his nonviolent activism during the war, he founded Plum Village in France, a monastic community dedicated to mindful living. His teachings have inspired millions around the world to live more peacefully and consciously.
