Born in Missouri, Twain grew up along the Mississippi River, which would later become a central theme in much of his work. Known as the "father of American literature," Twain’s writing captures the humor, struggles, and contradictions of American society during the 19th century.

Twain’s works are renowned for their wit, satire, and deep understanding of the human condition. His masterpiece, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, is often hailed as one of the greatest novels ever written.
