Description

When five thousand kronor goes missing from a seedy Stockholm hotel, it sets off a chain of events involving a hitman, a disillusioned priest, and an unlikely business venture. Per Persson, the hotel receptionist, wants to avoid trouble, but Johanna Kjellander, a priest without a parish, sees an opportunity. With the missing money in hand, she devises a plan that draws in the hitman, Anders, leading to an outrageously funny and chaotic journey filled with unexpected twists, shrewd dealings, and plenty of Moldovan red wine.

Why You Should Read?

    • Experience a hilariously zany plot that combines crime, dark humor, and an unexpected quest for meaning, reminiscent of Jonasson's previous bestsellers.
    • Delight in a cast of eccentric characters, including a reformed hitman, a cunning ex-priest, and a perpetually anxious hotelier, whose interactions drive the comedic narrative.
    • Enjoy a fast-paced and witty story that offers a fresh take on redemption and second chances, proving it's never too late to start anew, even for a hitman.
    • Discover a unique blend of satire and adventure, making for an entertaining and thought-provoking read that will keep you laughing and guessing until the very end.
