About the Author

Edward S. Herman (1925 2017) was an American economist and media analyst with a focus on corporate and political economy. He was a professor emeritus of finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a prolific writer, known for his critical analyses of media, foreign policy, and corporate power. His work often challenged conventional narratives and exposed the systemic biases within mainstream institutions.



Noam Chomsky is an American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, historian, social critic, and political activist. He is a Laureate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Arizona and an Institute Professor Emeritus at MIT. Chomsky is a prominent intellectual figure known for his critiques of U.S. foreign policy, neoliberalism, and the mass media, and has authored over 100 books.
