Rachel Cusk is an English novelist born on 8 February 1967. She has written thirteen novels, memoirs, and other non-fiction. Her books have earned prizes, such as a Somerset Maugham Award and the Whitbread First Novel Award. They have also been shortlisted and longlisted for other honours, such as the Booker Prize and the Governor General's Award. Her writing has dealt with motherhood, marriage, satire, and more experimental story forms.
