Description

Dive into a new collection of lyrically haunting short stories from Japanese literary icon Yukio Mishima. Originally published in the 1960s, these tales explore themes of fury, desire, beauty, and death, as described by Mariana Enríquez. From apocalyptic visions seizing a writer to beatniks dancing in church ruins and a séance summoning military spirits, Mishima masterfully blends autobiography with horror and tender first love with obsession. Experience stories of a deranged fan breaking into his home, a youth achieving eternal life through violence, and a couple sealing their fate with cards, entangled in time and unfulfilled desire.
