Tales from Firozsha Baag is a collection of eleven short stories about the residents of Firozsha Baag, an apartment building in Bombay. Their ceilings need plastering and some toilets leak badly, yet the residents are not desperate, though they can be quarrelsome and unforgiving. The stories follow their intersecting lives and present a middle-class Indian community caught between old ways and new.
