The Humans

An extra-terrestrial visitor comes to Earth and takes the form of Professor Andrew Martin, a mathematician at Cambridge University. He dislikes much about humans and wants to finish a grim task and return to his own immortal, omniscient home. As he lives as Martin, he drinks wine, reads poetry, listens to rock music, and eats peanut butter. He forms unexpected bonds with Martin's family. He starts to see worth in human flaws and questions why he was sent to Earth.
