About the Author

Jim Corbett (1875-1955) was a British hunter, tracker, naturalist, and author who held a colonel's rank in the British Indian Army. He was renowned for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards in India, often at the request of the government. Beyond his hunting prowess, Corbett was a passionate conservationist and played a key role in establishing India's first national park, which was later renamed Jim Corbett National Park in his honor.
